Career Highlights
Mr. Kowalik began his legal career as a law clerk to Judge Jay Robinson (Indiana Court of Appeals) from 1978 to 1980. Mr. Kowalik practices primarily in the business law area with specialization in business reorganization and creditor/debtor rights law. He represents debtors, creditors committees, and financial institutions in business workouts, loan restructuring and Chapter 11 cases. Mr. Kowalik has been involved in representation in significant Chapter 11 cases such as Melody Homes and Allied Groceries. Mr. Kowalik has served as a frequent speaker on various commercial, insolvency, and bankruptcy matters. Mr. Kowalik has been named to the list of Indiana Super Lawyers® in the areas of bankruptcy and solvency area for the last two years.
